Child Killer Mary Bell : Audio - Interview With Mary Bell Who Was A Child Who Killed Children

Mary Bell was convicted of the manslaughter of two small boys in 1968 when she was 10 and 11 years old. After attending Mary's trial in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne during the 60s, Gitta Sereny followed her story for decades until Mary finally agreed to be interviewed about her life, resulting in the book Cries Unheard. During these interviews Mary Bell admitted for the first time to killing Martin Brown. Gitta questions just what sort of comprehension a child can have of the finality of death, and explores the persistence of notions of the evil seed or evil children in our culture.
